About Oakdale Private School

We are delighted that you are considering us for your child’s care and early educational needs.

For nearly three decades, Oakdale has been dedicated to providing the highest quality care and education for Houston-area families. Tammy Wildman first opened our doors in 1998, and her founding commitment has guided us ever since: every child deserves to feel safe, known, and genuinely cared for.

That care starts with our people. Our director, Heather Ramos, has been part of the Oakdale family for 25 years, and many of our teachers have been with us for years as well. Children here grow up with familiar faces, teachers who know their names, their stories, and what makes them light up. Some of our teachers are now welcoming the children of former students.

Being entrusted with your child’s safety, care, and education is our greatest privilege and responsibility, and we take that trust seriously. Oakdale is licensed by the State of Texas and proudly holds a 4-Star Texas Rising Star certification, the highest quality rating the state awards. Through the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program, every child enjoys nutritious meals and snacks throughout the day.

From our littlest ones at 6 weeks old to our Pre-Kindergarteners and after-schoolers, we nurture the whole child. Our classrooms build early reading and math skills alongside the things that matter just as much: kindness, curiosity, creativity, and the confidence to raise a hand and try. When our children head off to kindergarten, they’re ready.

Every family belongs here. We welcome children of every language, culture, and ability, and we partner closely with parents so each child gets exactly the support they need.

We know that work and family life don’t always fit neatly into a 9-to-5 schedule, and we’re proud to be one of the few centers in the area open six days a week with extended morning and evening hours. We’re here when you need us.
